The Company:
Our client is a fast casual dining operator with an ambitious growth strategy in the UK and in International markets.An experienced Head of Project Management is now being sought in this newly created role.
The Position:
Reporting to the Global Franchise Director with dotted line responsibility to the UK and Europe Managing Director and their International Group Chief Executive Officer, the new Head of Project Management will primarily be responsible for successfully managing the delivery of new fit-out projects through approved contractors and consultants, ensuring that budgets are not exceeded, projects are delivered on time and to the requisite quality standards and that the brand’s integrity is maintained.Other key duties and responsibilities will include:-
- Closely liaising with the Creative Design/Project Management Company, Contractors, Sub-Contractors etc, ensuring that all projects are delivered to set targets.
- Ensure that statutory requirements are met and Health and Safety requirements are practiced.
- Building and maintaining a close relationship with Franchisees and ensuring that their expectations are met and exceeded.
- Regularly reporting on the status of all projects by visiting sites, monitoring progress, resolve issues etc.
- Liaising closely with key internal Stakeholders, Franchising, Operations and Finance etc.
- Value engineering proposed specifications etc, to reduce costs without imparting on the brands image.
- Handing over all projects to Operations/Franchisees, snag free and instilling new building processes and procedures that drive value and enhance business performance.
- Provide support and advice on general development/project issues to colleagues internally and Franchisees etc externally.
- Supporting the Management team with other project/property related activity as may be required from time to time.
The Candidate Profile:
Candidates are likely to have a relevant technical/professional qualification coupled with preferably client side experience within a multi-site restaurant/leisure/retail operator or a restaurant/leisure property consultancy.The other key attributes sought are:-
- Proven record of successfully delivering multiple projects to strict time, cost and quality parameters.
- Ensure that Statutory and Health and Safety requirements are met and are practised.
- Must be well organised, able to prioritise and results/KPI driven.
- Have the ability to motivate, manage and inspire Consultants, Contractors and Suppliers etc, to optimise their performance.
- The ability to work effectively with demanding Franchisees.
- Liaising closely with key internal Stakeholders, Franchising, Operations and Finance etc.
- Value engineering proposed specifications etc, to reduce costs without imparting on the brands image.
- Handing over all projects to Operations/Franchisees, snag free and instilling new building processes and procedures that drive value and enhance business performance.
- Provide support and advice on general development/project issues to colleagues internally and Franchisees etc externally.
- Commercial awareness with a strong cost focus.
- Clear and concise communication skills.
- Flexibility to work the hours required and travel extensively.
- Will be a confident self-starter with drive, initiative and a can do and willing attitude.
- Must have the ability to think outside the traditional box and be versatile in their approach.

The Location:
